Jessica has been privately training both dogs and horses, of all ages and breeds, since 2006.

She has been a dog owner all her life, including owning one show dog. Jessica and her husband Brad currently own two dogs, a Chihuahua/Toy Poodle mix names Leo, and a smooth coated Border Collie named Uriel.

Jessica was a pre-vet student for three years, while studying at the University of Missouri-Columbia (MIZZOU), before deciding to focus on a different area within the Animal Science Department. In 2010 she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, as well as a Minor in Equine Science via a dual enrollment at Stephens College.

Both Leo and Uriel have passed their Odor Recognition Test for the NACSW. Uriel has titled both at NW1 and NW2. In addition Uriel took first place overall at the NW2 trial. Uriel is currently competing at the NW3 level and working towards getting the first of three legs needed to earn the NW3 Elite Title. Leo has been unable to compete due to an injury but will hopefully start to compete later this year!
